1.

Individual
Psychotherapy

Individual counseling is a growth process through which individuals are helped to define goals, make decisions, and solve problems related to personal, social, educational, and career concerns.

2.

Couples
Therapy

Most relationships will get strained at some time, resulting in a failure to function optimally and produce self-reinforcing, maladaptive patterns. These patterns may be called "negative interaction cycles." There are many possible reasons for this, including insecure attachment, ego, arrogance, jealousy, anger, greed, poor communication/understanding or problem solving, ill health, third parties and so on.

Changes in situations like financial state, physical health, and the influence of other family members can have a profound influence on the conduct, responses and actions of the individuals in a relationship.

Often it is an interaction between two or more factors, and frequently it is not just one of the people who are involved that exhibit such traits. Relationship influences are reciprocal: it takes each person involved to make and manage problems.

3.

Group
Therapy

Group psychotherapy or group therapy is a form of psychotherapy in which one or more therapists treat a small group of clients together as a group. The term can legitimately refer to any form of psychotherapy when delivered in a group format, including cognitive behavioural therapy or interpersonal therapy, but it is usually applied to psychodynamic group therapy where the group context and group process is explicitly utilised as a mechanism of change by developing, exploring and examining interpersonal relationships within the group.

The broader concept of group therapy can be taken to include any helping process that takes place in a group, including support groups, skills training groups (such as anger management, mindfulness, relaxation training or social skills training), and psychoeducation groups.

4.

Family
Therapy

Family therapy is a type of psychological counseling (psychotherapy) that can help family members improve communication and resolve conflicts.

Family therapy is often short term. It may include all family members or just those able or willing to participate. Your specific treatment plan will depend on your family's situation. Family therapy sessions can teach you skills to deepen family connections and get through stressful times, even after you're done going to therapy sessions.

Therapy Sessions
My Approach

It is my belief that life's challenges and struggles are part of the normal process of personal evolution, and that these events present opportunities for growth and development. I will work to allow you to integrate all parts of yourself - physical , emotional, mental and spiritual - on a healing path that is unique for you, and that brings your highest potentials into expression in  your personal development, your relationships, your families, and your work in the world. I believe people are not the problem; the problem is the problem. Together we can separate the two to help you find balance and learn to live a stress-free life.

Getting Help

People see therapists or counsellors for all sorts of reasons. Some will only book an appointment because they’ve been pushed into it – by a family member, partner, even their boss – but others go with much more enthusiasm. They want to get to the bottom of a problem in their lives and are prepared to pay whatever it takes to understand their behavior. Like most things in life, it takes all sorts.

Here are just a few reasons why most see a therapist:

  • Repeating  Patterns

  • Family Issues that can't be resolved

  • Feeling Stuck

  • Overwhelming Anxiety

  • Addictions

  • Depression

  • and so much more

Specialty
Child & Adolescent Therapy

Stone_p2.jpg

Counseling helps children and adolescents learn how to identify causes of their distress, improve skills in asking for help and expressing emotions, and increase problem-solving abilities.

My Approach to child and adolescent counseling, is based on a cognitive way of helping them understand how their brain and bodies can work together in balancing their impulse behaviors.

      What is child counseling?

Child counseling is a type of therapy that focuses on young children, teens, and adolescents with one or more mental illnesses. It also helps those who have experienced trauma and/or  are experiencing a dysfunctional and/or stressful home environment.

Some common issues include anxiety, depression, and grief. The goal child counseling is to breakdown problems into smaller areas, so children can better understand and cope with them.
